We want to wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, and adventure. Emma could hear Matt’s heart racing and said, “WOW, your heart is RACING!” Matt then got down on one knee and asked if he could steal her for the rest of her life. After walking for a while, Matt stopped and hugged Emma tight to keep her warm. Emma mentioned how she stole Matt the previous Thanksgiving and how he was stealing her that Christmas away from her family. ![]() While they walked, they talked about the holidays. So they relived these memories by taking another walk. During their freshman year, they would take walks around the bowl next to the Willy T. So on December 23, 2017, Matt suggested that they visit UK’s campus to see all of the new renovations that had occurred since they left UK. Matt knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Emma. Their first date was ordering Chinese food to the dorm and eating it by candlelight with birthday candles in dixie cups. So fate would have that this class would be their only overlapping class. Matt was studying music and Emma was studying nursing. Their love story first began on their first day of CIS 110 freshman year at the University of Kentucky. We have loved getting to know them this year and hearing all about their love story. We were so honored that they chose us to capture their special day. Emma and Matt danced the night away with family and friends celebrating. Their reception was in a large barn with tables dressed in white tablecloths, gold accents, candles, and floral centerpieces. Together, they spent some moments celebrating as husband and wife under the warm golden sun surrounded by rolling hills and fence lines. ![]() Matt and Emma stood in front of some vintage doors dressed in flowers that were made by Emma.
